The writing was easy to digest but it can be difficult reading the amount of rules. The advice is practical and everyday, not written for the academia. I enjoyed her examples and honesty. I found myself highlighting a good portion of the rules and I can see myself revisiting them. Good thing there's a section dedicated to listing out the rules.

I enjoyed reading this book. Usually I struggle reading this type of books but not Mrs. She speak with so much confidence and intelligence that you would never thought she dealt with anxiety issues. Really struggled to connect with this book. I assumed this one would be in the same format. Unfortunately this book was too lengthy and seems to be more of an autobiography than anything else. I get that her mum taught her the lessons but I at least wanted to know more about the lessons on being an emotional genius than her emotionally traumatic childhood.

In a lot of ways, I think this book was a worthwhile read, but I had some problems with it. I thought the format of the book was quite poor. Instead of having the autobiographical portions mixed in with the Rules portions, I think it would have been clearer to have the book divided into 2 distinct sections: the autobiography first, then the Rules with appropriate references to the autobiography second.
My 2nd problem with the book was If you want to grab people's attenti In a lot of ways, I think this book was a worthwhile read, but I had some problems with it. If you want to grab people's attention and teach them something important that they will remember for life, you'd better condense your message and be brief.
